2016 USAPL State Meet T-Shirt Design

Bet you didn't know I was into powerlifting? Yep, that's right I am. The state director asked me if I was interested in designing the meet t-shirt, to which I said I yes. This was the design that won approval and from the National board, the meet director, and the meet host. I had to balance a lot of different elements with this one.

I did compete in this meet, but didn't do all that well. I went 6/9 on my attempts. At least, the shirt design was more successful than I was.

Empress Nature Brand Mark

Along with the primary brand mark, I developed this mark to align with the primary Empress mark for special items that needed to emphasize products which are made by sustainable practice. While these products can be more expensive, they are becoming more popular in the marketplace. The development of this "green" product line has stalled (and which may be resurrected), this secondary logo demonstrates that a well developed logo and brand can have its various cousins (if so desired) without losing the equity or the recognition of its primary logo.

I forgot to show off the sketch pad where I developed the Empress brand mark. Here it is. You can check out the final artwork here.

US Auction Client Options

The client was presented with four options, with each a very strong brand mark using only two colors. These options were very well received.

US Auctions Logo Design - Sketch Pad

Some fairly recent work for an Auction Company from of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. Since most of this company's merchandize is from the WWII era, or other vintage, I took the logo in that direction.
This is just the development of the logo and brand mark I created shown here. My next post will feature the options I sent to the client for sign-off.
