Based upon the main, corporate catalog cover that I designed, this animated gif illustrates the various guides for different segments that the client's catalog can be split into. The design strategy I developed with the corporate look can be easily and coherently re-used for a variety of different lines.

At my present gig, I've been unifying the various print pieces that they have had in production prior to my hiring. I've worked hard on unifying the various pieces by bringing a single brand look, starting with the main catalog shown here. In later posts, I will reveal what the segment catalogs look like and how they relate to the main catalog above.

It was nice, as a designer, to not only design the logo, but design the packaging, the sell sheets, the email, and the web graphic – as well as do the product photography myself and write the copy as the one iteration above illustrates.
The launch of this product will be via the client's sales staff and social media.

These were instruction sheets that were not only in need of a rewrite, but a redesign. So I did. They came out quite nice I think and were definitely an improvement from the previous versions.

Just a quick mock-up of the product with label that I designed. I had to alter the logo a bit from the original to work with this type of 1-color flexo-printing and I was limited to a matrix of some 12 colors to work with.
This was a pretty quick design all-in-all. Just a few hours I had to come up with an acceptable solution.
Not very sexy I know... but it met the goals and timeline of the client.

The products I have to shoot for RJ Schinner are sometimes challenging. If its not black plastic bowls, it's white boxes and clear trash can liners. Anyway, this is a sample of what I shot today.
My main light source was the patio door at the right scrimmed back with an old shower curtain that my wife wanted to toss, but I saved just in case. At left was my circa 80's Bogen 200b monolight. Minimal photoshop on these, and the reflections you see from another salvaged piece of opaque plastic that I tend to shoot most things on it seems.

I was given the assignment to design a mark for a line of value-based janitorial and sanitation products called Performance Plus. This was a hot project so I had a day to whip up something. Below shows four solid directions I presented to the client.
The top example was what the client liked best and will now initially be applied to a one color flex-label that I designed and will post later.

About three months ago, I took the job as Electronic Marketing Specialist with RJ Schinner. In this role, I do design and marketing, as well as manage a website and blog along with other marketing initiatives. It's been a good fit so far.
I started work on a binder to showcase our in-house sales and marketing efforts and the result is the artwork above. With almost no resources, I found royalty free and free use artwork online. The binder also features a spot color of Pantone 8422C -- silver metallic.
I think the result is pretty good. So far everyone has been pleased.
Its a high-end piece that RJ Schinner hasn't had before.
